Berlin Biennale

Berlin Biennale Specials by UiU

The Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art owes its existence to an association of commited art lovers and art experts, specially founded for it in March 1996. After more than two years of preparation time, the first Berlin Biennale opened in September 1998.

The Berlin Biennale is meant to be "an open space that experiments, identifies and critically examines the latest trends in the art world". It aims in particular to give young artists the opportunity to introduce themselves to a broader audience.
